Slit Lamp Observation

Slit Lamp Observation

Re-One can easily be inserted in the slit lamp for clear observation.

While we have not conducted a study comparing the outcomes of slit lamp evaluation of corneas on whole globes using Re-One device vs. standard eye jars, the advantages are clear from our experiences. Evaluating whole globes by slit lamp has always been cumbersome and inefficient. A major problem has been that the globes are often free to rotate within the container, making it hard to make accurate assessments.

Additionally, Re-One device fits into the standard holding clamp used for the evaluation of corneas in viewing chambers. This is in contrast to the current universal method of holding the container in one hand, while trying to operate the slit lamp with the other and taking notes or recording findings in the software.  Re-One provides a more stable platform to carefully and methodically assess the tissue and take higher resolution images.
